Job Position: 1st Shift CNC Lathe Programmer
Location: Pelzer, SC 29669
Pay Rate: Minimum $22-$25(Range DOE) Must have 2 years' experience setting up/programming CNC Machines.
Shift: 1st
Hours: Monday through Friday: 7:00AM- 3:30PM
Description: Opsource has partnered with a growing company in Pelzer, SC who is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer who is familiar with setting up, operating and programming with CNC Mills and Lathes FANUC CONTROLS using G&M CODES IS REQUIRED. Our partner has 16,000 square feet for manufacturing, fabricating, and assembly. 2,500 square feet is for administration and engineering. They strive to be competitive in all capabilities and services, which include turning, milling, fabrication, welding, assembly, and secondary services such as plating or heat treating.
Mechatronics or Machine Tool Tech graduates encouraged to apply.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: MUST BE ABLE TO SET UP, OPERATE AND ADAPT PROGRAMS on CNC MILLING/LATHE MACHINES
Able to program, read and have a full understanding of G Code.
Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance
Must be able to program CNC Lathe from print/ CAD.
Must be able to read blueprints and understand Geometrical Dimensions & Tolerances
Responsibilities:
Loads raw material onto machining center per procedures
Ability to load work program and perform complex machining
Use precision measuring instruments to setup machine and check machined items
Use standard machine tools including, but not limited to, drill press and a variety of hand, electric, etc. tools Select, verify, and install tooling according to specifications and operation
Troubleshoots issues at the machine and escalates as necessary to Production Supervisor or Engineering Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications per written processes and procedures
Ensures work area, machine, tooling and parts are cleaned regularly and free from excess oil deposits
Ability to document passes down information pertinent to other shifts in a routine and orderly manner
Extensive use of blueprints, process plans, program sheets, holding fixture location diagrams, etc
Able to set-up and prepare machine for operation Able to follow written instruction with signoff requirements
