Job description:
Global Rock Works is North America’s first rope-access-certified geohazard mitigation company, specializing in high-angle and remote access projects. Our mission is to deliver safe, precise, and effective solutions while minimizing risk for our clients.
Experience required:
- 1 + years operating pneumatic/ hydraulic rock drills with top hammers and down the hole (DTH) hammer drills
- Soil nail installation
- Casing drilling Experience and asset
- Experience running a grout plant (preferred)
- IRATA or SPRAT Rope Access Certification Required Level 1 +
Skills & Abilities Required:
- Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work on steep slopes in a rope access harness for extended periods of time.
- Must be reliable, able to take direction from supervisors, and demonstrate safe work habits
- The ability to work on other aspects of the project when needed is also required
- Performing tasks outdoors and working in extreme environments
- Must be able to safely navigate construction sites
- Must be in good physical health - must be able to undertake the strenuous activity demanded by the work
- Must be sufficiently physically fit and free from any disability which may prevent them from working safely on a construction site at heights and around heavy machinery
- Team oriented
- Inherently safety conscious
- Possess a calm disposition even in severe circumstances
- Must not be susceptible to an unreasonable fear of heights
- Must have a strong ability to stay organized and keep site and vehicles clean and tidy
Duties and responsibilities:
- Drilling with a 45 lb pneumatic hand drill, exposure to long periods of vibration
- Inspect and maintain equipment, use all equipment appropriately
- Perform all duties as designated by site super and job description
- Follow all safety rules, GRW and Site procedures and regulations
- Maintain and look after all equipment and tools with a high degree of care
- Fulfill duties of the rope access worker/technician/supervisor as detailed in SPRAT Safe Practices for Rope Access Work
- Review on site documentation
- Attend all daily safety meetings, tool box meetings
- Relay all safety concerns, incident and accidents to Site Supervisor

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
