Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Executive Director is a key leadership role responsible for both sustaining and growing Cason’s Place. This position requires an individual who can actively lead fundraising efforts while also supporting and coordinating grief support programming. In addition to the base salary, performance indicators will be put in place to allow for additional bonus compensation if performance indicators are met.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Community Engagement (Core Focus)

Take an active leadership role in fundraising efforts to sustain and grow the organization
Lead tours of Cason’s Place for donors, partners, and community members
Speak at service organizations, community groups, and events to build awareness and secure donations
Plan and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns
Organize and execute mailings and outreach related to fundraising and events

Program Coordination & Facilitation

Coordinate peer grief support sessions for children, teens, and families
Support and coordinate facilitators and volunteers
Ensure a safe, trauma-informed environment for all participants
Coordinate facilitator trainings

Operations & Administration

Maintain organized records including attendance, participant communication, and program documentation
Respond to phone calls and maintain accurate call logs
Coordinate notifications and communication with participating families
Collaborate with the social media director to ensure website and social platforms are current and aligned
Coordinate with vendors and repair companies for maintenance of the property and facilities with board approval

Qualifications

Strong belief in and commitment to the mission of supporting grieving children and families
Experience in fundraising, community outreach, or nonprofit work preferred
Comfortable speaking publicly and building relationships in the community
Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Experience working with children, families, or in support settings preferred
Complete 'lead facilitator' trainings soon after onboarding
