Reporting and span of responsibilities

The ICT Manager – responsible for the reliable, secure and business-aligned delivery of IT and OT operations across US locations. The role combines local management team participation with hands-on operational leadership, ensuring that workplace, infrastructure, network, security, ERP and warehouse management services effectively support the business.

The person has a seasoned but hands-on mentality and is able to balance operational urgency, business priorities, technical constraints, security requirements and budgets in a pragmatic way. The role requires strong ownership, visible presence on site and the ability to translate Group ICT standards into practical local execution.

Roles and Responsibilities

The ICT Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring stable, secure and future-ready IT and OT operations for the local business. The role is responsible for running day-to-day technology services, leading local engineers, supporting business continuity and driving the integration, consolidation and modernization of the local IT landscape.

The ICT Manager is responsible for:

· Lead, coach and coordinate a small team of dedicated IT and OT engineers, fostering ownership, service orientation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

· Ensure reliable day-to-day operations of local IT and OT services, including workplace services, networks, firewalls, servers, storage, plant connectivity and business-critical applications.

· Act as the local IT representative in the US management team, translating business priorities into clear IT actions and communicating Group ICT standards, initiatives and expectations locally.

· Drive the adoption and operational excellence of Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions, including collaboration, endpoint management, identity, security and user productivity services.

· Manage and improve the local network and security infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, wireless, firewall configuration, remote access, segmentation and secure connectivity between IT and OT environments.

· Oversee server and storage infrastructure supporting both office and manufacturing environments, ensuring resilience, performance, lifecycle management, backup, recovery and operational continuity.

· Support and coordinate local ERP and warehouse management operations in the SAP ecosystem, working closely with business users, Group ICT teams and external partners to ensure stable and efficient process support.

· Lead local IT integration and consolidation activities linked to M&A, carve-in, harmonization or transformation initiatives, ensuring pragmatic execution, risk management and business continuity.

· Manage local IT service delivery, incidents, requests, escalations and operational priorities, ensuring a strong customer and service focus for the business.

· Ensure compliance with policies, cybersecurity standards, infrastructure architecture principles and operational governance requirements.

· Coordinate with external vendors, managed service partners and Group ICT domain experts to deliver reliable support and project execution.

· Contribute to local budgeting, planning, asset lifecycle management, license compliance, capacity planning, investment proposals and pragmatic opportunities to leverage AI-enabled productivity, automation and operational improvement.

· Promote safe, secure and standardized IT and OT practices across the sites while maintaining the flexibility required by local business operations.

Experience

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

· A minimum of 10 years of relevant IT experience, including several years in an IT operations leadership role within an industrial, manufacturing or distribution environment.

· Proven experience leading small, hands-on IT or IT/OT teams and managing operational priorities in a business-critical environment.

· Strong practical experience with Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions, including Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity, collaboration and security services.

· Solid knowledge of networking, firewalls(Fortinet), secure connectivity, segmentation and operational security practices across IT and OT environments.

· Experience with server, storage, virtualization (VMWare), backup, recovery and infrastructure lifecycle management in office and plant environments.

· Experience with ERP environments such as SAP, and with warehouse management solutions as LISAWMS in the SAP ecosystem.

· Previous experience with M&A-related IT activities, including due diligence support, integration planning, environment consolidation, migration and post-merger stabilization.

· Legacy software applications such as Infinity, PRP, PRSS, Measurex, Access databases and legacy servers such as Windows Server 2012.

· Strong understanding of IT service management, incident handling, change management, vendor coordination and operational governance.

· Able to work effectively with local management, shopfloor stakeholders, Group ICT teams and external partners.

· Hands-on problem solver who can operate strategically when needed while remaining close to daily operations and technical reality.

· Strong customer and service focus, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Experience with AI-enabled solutions, automation or digital productivity tools is considered a strong asset, especially when applied pragmatically to improve business operations, service delivery or user productivity.

· Stress resilient, structured and pragmatic, able to manage change, ambiguity and operational pressure.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are mandatory.

· Occasional after-hours manufacturing support.
