Provide instrumentation and controls engineering services, including technical support and supervision within the instrumentation and controls engineering team.

Responsibilities:

Deliver instrumentation and controls engineering services that meet applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
Initiate, manage, and, if required, supervise instrumentation and controls engineering project requirements.
Perform instrumentation and controls engineering services, such as:
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures.
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, such as writing requisitions, conducting technical bid evaluations, and writing purchase orders.
Complete additional responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
If required, function as the instrumentation and controls engineering lead on specific projects.
If responsible for a team:
- Outline project requirements, actively promote workshare where appropriate, assign tasks, and supervise progress.
- Ensure the required services meet company, customer, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
Proactively resolve any discrepancies between company and customer requirements.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the instrumentation and controls engineering field.
Assist and support junior personnel within the instrumentation and controls engineering team.
Communicate effectively with the instrumentation and controls engineering team and project stakeholders, including customers.
Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and seek assistance when required.
May serve as a technical consultant within the area of expertise and make formal presentations to customers or company management.

What You Will Bring:

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

Relevant discipline experience.
Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work.
A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of instrumentation and controls engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
Competent use of instrumentation and controls engineering-specific software.
Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Substantial technical and practical experience in instrumentation and controls engineering in the same or similar industry, including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

BS or MS in a related field or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree; or equivalent experience if allowed by law.
