Full Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior BI & Visualization Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of executive dashboards, business intelligence solutions, and data visualizations that drive strategic decision-making.

This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, partnering directly with executives, business leaders, product owners, and data engineering teams to translate business objectives into actionable insights. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, data analysis expertise, and exceptional visualization skills to deliver intuitive, impactful, and trusted analytics solutions.

The successful candidate will be able to independently manage stakeholder engagements, gather requirements, define KPIs, design data models, develop dashboards, and communicate insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Business Stakeholder Engagement

Partner directly with executives, business leaders, and functional teams to understand strategic objectives and reporting needs.
Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and convert business questions into analytical solutions.
Define and standardize KPIs, metrics, dimensions, and business rules.
Present findings, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership in a business-friendly manner.
Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to business stakeholders.

Dashboard & Visualization Development

Design, develop, and maintain executive, operational, and departmental dashboards.
Create compelling visualizations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
Develop interactive reports, scorecards, and self-service analytics solutions.
Apply best practices in data storytelling, user experience, and dashboard design.
Build executive-ready visualizations focused on strategic KPIs, trends, risks, opportunities, and business performance.

Business Intelligence Development

Develop scalable semantic models, datasets, data marts, and reporting solutions.
Build and optimize Power BI, Tableau, or Fabric reporting environments.
Create reusable metrics, calculations, and visualization standards.
Ensure consistency across reporting solutions and enterprise KPIs.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.

Data Analysis & Insights

Analyze complex business data from multiple sources.
Identify performance drivers, root causes, and emerging trends.
Produce insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
Translate analytical findings into executive presentations and narratives.

Governance & Quality

Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of reporting solutions.
Implement reporting standards, visualization guidelines, and governance practices.
Collaborate with data governance and data quality teams.
Support security, compliance, and data access requirements.
Maintain documentation for dashboards, datasets, and business definitions.

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with Data Engineering, Data Governance, Product, PMO, and Business teams.
Mentor junior BI developers and analysts.
Promote industry best practices in analytics and visualization.
Contribute to BI roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics or a related field.

Experience:

· 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Reporting, or Data Visualization.

· 5+ years of experience developing executive dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.

· Proven experience directly supporting senior executives and business leaders.

· Demonstrated ability to independently manage stakeholder relationships and analytics projects.

Technical Skills

· Expert-level Power BI development (Fabric preferred).

· Strong Tableau experience.

· Advanced SQL development skills.

· Experience with semantic modeling and dimensional modeling.

· Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.

· Experience with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or cloud analytics platforms.

· DAX, Power Query, and visualization optimization expertise.

· Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in Healthcare, Payer, Provider, Pharmacy, Financial Services, or Regulatory analytics.

· Experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

· Knowledge of KPI frameworks, balanced scorecards, and executive reporting.

· Experience implementing self-service BI programs.

· Familiarity with Data Governance and Data Quality platforms.

· Experience supporting enterprise-scale BI environments.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
