Main Line Armory is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Gunsmith to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and supporting responsible firearm ownership.
Our facility combines a state-of-the-art indoor shooting range, premium retail showroom, professional firearms training academy, and gunsmithing services under one roof. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to safety, integrity, and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain a wide variety of firearms.
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and function checks.
- Install and fit aftermarket components including sights, optics, triggers, barrels, handguards, stocks, and accessories.
- Perform sight-in and optic mounting services.
- Conduct safety inspections and provide repair estimates.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Maintain detailed work orders and repair documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and recommendations.
- Assist customers with firearm maintenance education and product recommendations.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable federal, state, and local firearm laws.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe gunsmithing workspace.
- Assist the retail and range teams as needed to provide an outstanding customer experience.
QualificationsRequired
- Professional gunsmith certification or equivalent hands-on gunsmithing experience.
- Thorough knowledge of modern handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing firearm malfunctions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to safely handle and function test firearms.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Preferred
- Graduation from an accredited gunsmithing program (Pennsylvania Gunsmith School, Trinidad State College, Sonoran Desert Institute, Murray State College, etc.)
- Factory armorer certifications
- Experience with AR-15 platform builds and customization.
- Experience with precision rifle systems.
- Experience installing optics and accessories.
- Cerakote experience (a plus, but not required).
- Basic machining experience (lathe and mill) is a plus.
- NFA firearms knowledge is preferred.

Experience:
- Gunsmithing: 2+ years preferred
- Equivalent military, law enforcement, or commercial firearms maintenance experience will be considered
Work Location: On-site – Malvern, Pennsylvania
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
