Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Lead Medical Assistant to join our medical practice. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on clinical experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to support both patient care and daily office operations.

This role is best suited for a Medical Assistant who has previously served as a team lead, senior MA, supervisor, or informal staff leader and is comfortable guiding a small team while remaining fully engaged in patient care responsibilities.

The Lead Medical Assistant must be confident working independently, able to manage priorities with little guidance, and experienced with pre-certifications, EHR systems, patient flow, clinical procedures, inventory, and basic front-office support.

Lead Medical Assistant

Oversee all medical assistants under your leadership
Assist in Training New Medical Assistants, Conduct Re-training when applicable
Pre-visit Planning, Pre-certification
Staff Scheduling
Work in collaboration with the Nurse Care Coordinator
Reports to the Operations Manager

Patient liaison:

Responds to patient concerns about outstanding bills, office, and laboratory
Assists staff with difficult encounters
Retrieve and respond to messages left by patients

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Help to cover Medical Assistance on the floor when needed
Help to cover Medical Receptionist when needed
Complete Skills Assessment form for new hires

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
