We’re Elevated Lifestyle—a team that cares deeply about the quality, consistency, and experience we bring into our clients’ homes each week.
We are not a staffing agency, and this is not gig-by-gig freelance work. Our chefs operate as independent service professionals who partner with Elevated Lifestyle to deliver consistent, high-touch service to our client base.
What You Need to Know Up Front
- This is independent contractor (1099) work
- Services are booked per session at a flat rate (not hourly)
- There are no guaranteed hours—client volume grows gradually as availability and fit align
- Most chefs begin with 1–2 clients per week and build toward 4–10+ clients over time
- You maintain autonomy in how you execute services, while Elevated manages client onboarding, pricing, scheduling frameworks, and service scope
Service area:
You must be consistently available within the following locations:
Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Merion Station, Narberth, Penn Valley, Penn Wynne, Wynnewood, Ardmore, Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Villanova, Gladwyne, and Havertown.
Reaching West Chester, Lansdale, Doylestown, Chester Springs, Media and other locales will increase your book further.
Schedule parameters:
- Weekday daytime services only (rarely do clients request weekends)
- No evenings
Compensation
- Flat per-session pay (not hourly)
- Most chefs average $30–$40/hour equivalent, depending on experience and efficiency
- Fully booked chefs typically earn $5,000/month, while maintaining flexibility and control over their workload
You are responsible for managing your time efficiently within each session.
Scope of Services
As a Professional Chef Contractor, you will:
- Prepare a set number of customized meals in clients’ homes
- Grocery shop for scheduled meals using a client-provided payment method
- Upload menus, reheating instructions, and photos to our app
- Thorughly clean the kitchen after seach session
- Communicate through our app to ensure continuity and clarity
All services are performed within the scope outlined by Elevated Lifestyle for each client engagement.
About the Work
This is not generic meal prep.
Meals are prepared in multiple portions for the week, but each dish is fully customized and cooked specifically for the household.
This is hands-on, in-home cooking for families who value quality — and notice when it’s missing.
This is not a low-effort or drop-in cooking role. You are responsible for delivering a full, consistent service each week—clients rely on you, and the expectation is that you follow through.

Requirements
- 3+ years of professional cooking experience
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel within the service area (up to ~45 minutes)
- Ability to transport groceries and tools (up to ~50 lbs)
- Comfort using an app for communication and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and personal accountability
