About the role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Procurement specialist is responsible for supporting manufacturing and plant operations through strategic sourcing, purchasing, supplier relationship management, and procurement process optimization. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials, MRO supplies, equipment, and services required to maintain continuous production and operational efficiency. Success in this role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring materials and services are available to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Create, evaluate, and implement supply plans to maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, chemical additives, packaging materials, MRO supplies, and production consumables to support manufacturing operations, production schedules, and customer demand.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials in alignment with company objectives for cost, quality, supply continuity, and risk mitigation.
Solicit RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service agreements to achieve the best total value for the organization.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance through key metrics including cost competitiveness, quality, responsiveness, sustainability, and on-time delivery.
Identify and qualify new suppliers to strengthen the supply base, reduce risk, and support business growth initiatives.
Utilize SAP/S4HANA ERP systems to plan material requirements, create and manage purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, resolve supply issues, and maintain data integrity.
Analyze inventory trends, safety stock requirements, lead times, and market conditions to optimize working capital while ensuring uninterrupted supply for production.
Partner closely with Production, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and services.
Monitor purchasing activities to ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence objectives.
Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and sourcing data within SAP/S4HANA ERP systems and ensure proper documentation and record retention.
Support internal, customer, regulatory, and quality audits through accurate procurement documentation and supplier records.

Qualifications:

Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2–4 years of procurement or sourcing experience in manufacturing; Chemical or PVC industry preferred.
Strong knowledge working with an MRP planning system, SAP/S4HANA platform is required.
Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity environment is preferred
Highly proficient in computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Excellent oral and written communication, mathematical and analytical skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
