Senior Civil Engineer (PE) | Gulf Breeze, FL 32561 | Full-time

Lead a Civil Engineering Practice with Nearly a Century of History. An established, multi-discipline engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer (PE) to lead its Civil Engineering team in Northwestern Florida. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a senior Civil Engineer who wants to combine:

Technical engineering
Team leadership
Project management
Client relationship development
Market and practice growth

The firm supports municipal, county, state, federal, and private-sector infrastructure programs throughout Florida and the Gulf Coast. Its Civil projects involve multiple engineering disciplines, with a strong concentration in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, drainage, pond design, and collection and conveyance systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead, mentor, and support a team of Civil Engineers and technical professionals.
Direct the design and delivery of municipal and public infrastructure projects.
Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing, and engineering deliverables.
Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
Lead stormwater, drainage, pond, collection, and conveyance system designs.
Prepare engineering evaluations, technical reports, calculations, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with municipal, county, state, and federal agencies.
Determine permitting requirements and oversee permit applications.
Build and maintain strong relationships with public- and private-sector clients.
Support proposals, project pursuits, business development, and market growth.
Collaborate with Civil, Water Resources, Transportation, Survey, Coastal, and Grant Administration teams.
Help shape the continued growth and direction of the Civil Engineering practice.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Active Professional Engineer license.
Florida PE registration or the ability to obtain Florida registration.
At least 15 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
Strong experience with hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, and drainage.
Experience designing ponds, collection systems, or conveyance systems.
Municipal, county, state, federal, or public infrastructure project experience.
Project management and engineering budget responsibility.
Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising engineers.
Experience coordinating with regulatory and jurisdictional agencies.
Strong written, verbal, technical, and client-facing communication skills.
Ability to build lasting client relationships.
Willingness to work from the Pensacola office.

Preferred Experience

ICPR or comparable hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software
HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, StormCAD, or HydroCAD
AutoCAD
Civil 3D
Florida stormwater permitting
FDEP, NWFWMD, FDOT, USACE, or municipal agency coordination
