Full Job Description

Rosie O'Grady's Inc., operating as Seville Quarter is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. We are a locally owned, family operated business in the heart of Historic Downtown Pensacola. Our kitchen serves lunch and dinner in addition to many private catered events.

The ideal candidate will have at minimum 2 years of recent experience supervising kitchen operations and staff in a professional kitchen as part of a minimum 5 years in the culinary production industry. This position will require candidates to be familiar with basic and intermediate culinary knowledge, to be familiar working with standard bulk recipes, kitchen equipment, and banquet production.

The Sous Chef's primary responsibilities are planning and producing foods for our restaurant and catered events on all of our properties. Working in coordination with the Executive Chefs and assisting in supervising the kitchen staff to complete tasks and goals. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to; monthly inventory, ordering, stocking, production of food on the hot line, daily prep, enforcing proper cleaning and food safety standards as well as cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment.

The ability to effectively communicate and take initiative is critical to the success of anyone working in this position. The Sous Chef is expected to be a respectful leader in the kitchen that is in constant communication with the Executive Chef. The Sous Chef will work as part of the overall management team towards the ultimate goal of delivering an amazing experience for our guests.
