Are you a seasoned tax professional who enjoys solving complex financial puzzles and building meaningful client relationships? Miller CPAs and Advisors is seeking a dedicated Senior Tax Accountant who brings both precision and empathy to their work—someone who values collaboration, makes an impact, and thrives in a team that genuinely supports one another.

In this role, you’ll take the lead on tax preparation and learn how to review for a diverse client base, contribute to strategic tax planning, and mentor junior team members. Depending on your experience and comfort level, you’ll either grow into being the primary point of contact for select clients—with full support from our team—or step confidently into that responsibility from day one. Either path allows you to build meaningful client relationships and help them feel confident in their financial decisions.

What You’ll Do

Take ownership of key client relationships and lead the delivery of accurate, timely tax services.
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Interpret GAAP financial statements to identify tax implications and planning opportunities.
Reconcile book-to-tax differences and advise clients on strategic tax planning.
Research and apply tax laws and regulations to optimize client outcomes.
Manage tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
Collaborate with accounting and assurance teams to align tax strategies with financial reporting.
Communicate directly with clients via video, phone, and email to build trust and deliver clear guidance.
Contribute to firm initiatives, process improvements, and team development.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA designation preferred.
Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax.
Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and identify tax planning opportunities.
Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation platforms.
Excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid setting.
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons.
