As the Wound Care Nurse you are instrumental in improving the lives of our residents.

Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Sharon Healthcare by providing support to the Treatment/Wound Care Doctor, assisting the patients with the delivery of wound care services under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

Requirements: Must be Licensed RN in good standing with the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Wound experience preferred but not required.

Qualified candidates require the ability to:

The Treatment Nurse will be responsible to deliver direct and indirect nursing care to patients with ostomies, draining wounds, various types of soft tissue injuries and other wound types and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nurses in relation to wound care, treatments, prevention, and assessments.

Daily floor rotation
Must ensure that all nursing procedures and protocols are followed in accordance with established policies.
Responsible for assessing and documenting wound status and skin care
Administer wound treatments as ordered by the physician. Review treatment orders for completeness of information and accuracy of transcription of the physician’s order
Assist as necessary with the physician/consultant during wound care rounds. Arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services needed for wound care as ordered by the physician
Complete body assessment on all new residents and re-admissions within 24 hrs. (Floor nurse to complete if TX Nurse is not here)
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of Wound Care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Pay: $42.00 - $43.00 per hour
