About JOLT Foundation:
JOLT Foundation is all about supporting people who use drugs and those impacted by substance use with respect, dignity, and real evidence-based solutions.
We believe in meeting people where they're at, regardless of whether they are, actively using drugs, considering recovery or treatment for the first time, exploring additional recovery resources, looking for their own unique pathway to recovery, or just trying to strengthen the recovery they've already established. Our Peer Recovery Navigation Program is built on trust and lived experience, helping people connect to resources such as treatment, housing, healthcare, mental health support, and other resources that make life more stable. Our Peer Recovery Navigators work one-on-one with participants, offering judgment-free support and practical tools to reduce risks, improve well-being, and take steps toward the future they want.
At JOLT, we know that recovery looks different for everyone, and we're here to help, no matter where someone is on their journey.
Position Overview:
JOLT Foundation is seeking a Peer Recovery Navigator to provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support to individuals impacted by substance use. - Assist individuals in navigating whichever recovery path fits their needs and access — peer support, work/life skills-building, treatment (inpatient, outpatient, or medication-assisted), individual or telehealth counseling, couples or family support, and other recovery capital resources.
- Provide case management and linkage to healthcare, housing, and other social services.
- Facilitate support groups and educational workshops on building recovery capital and skills.
- Work collaboratively with JOLT staff and community partners to connect participants with appropriate services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of participant interactions and services provided.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills.

- Distribute safe supplies, including naloxone, test strips, and safer use materials.

- Lived experience with substance use and recovery is required.
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Commitment to drug user health and wellness principles and a trauma-informed, nonjudgmental approach to supporting people who use drugs and/or are pursuing recovery.

- Experience in peer support, outreach, or advocacy is preferred.
- Active and up-to-date CPRS or CRSS certification (or the ability to obtain it within 12 month period).
- Familiarity with recovery community resources, treatment programs, and drug user health and wellness strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
