Position Title: Senior Institutional Effectiveness Analyst

Reports to: Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness
Appointment: Full-Time (12 months)
Status: Exempt
The Senior Institutional Effectiveness Analyst performs duties focused on data reporting and analysis to fulfill University internal and external reporting requirements. This position is responsible for analyzing institutional student records data, creating dashboards and reports describing the data, and interpreting results for members of Academic Affairs leadership, senior leadership, and mid-level institutional decision-makers. This position provides reliable and consistent information with which to make institutional planning decisions while maintaining confidentiality including FERPA compliance. The Senior Analyst works collaboratively with faculty members and staff units across the institution to generate custom reports. The collaborations frequently include Office of the Registrar, Information Technology, academic departments, Enrollment Management, Financial Services, Sponsored Programs, Student Affairs, and Marketing & Communication. This position supports institutional effectiveness by providing data-informed insights that guide strategic planning, student success initiatives, accreditation, academic program review, and continuous improvement across the University. The Senior Institutional Effectiveness Analyst is a member of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and reports to the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness. The office is housed within Academic Affairs and works closely with the Office of the Provost.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop reports and dashboards focused on student records data in order to support internal and external reporting requirements

Fulfill ad hoc report requests from institutional stakeholders, meet external required reporting deadlines, and produce timely internal census reports

Compile and analyze complex data from multiple institutional units and systems

Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership

Schedule, host, and lead meetings with internal stakeholders to share and discuss high quality data in a timely fashion

Compile and integrate relevant external data sources and research to support internal analyses

Manage and compile data for external entities, such as IPEDS, the National Student Clearinghouse, and grant proposals
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or related discipline

Extensive SQL experience, including database administration, maintaining stored procedures and functions, and a demonstrated ability to query data and generate reports from the data

Experience with Python or other programming languages

Experience managing large data sets

Ability to read and interpret technical documentation for compliance reporting requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy

Experience using quantitative principles in data analysis

Knowledge of data governance and understanding how data rules apply to reporting requirements

Experience with Microsoft PowerBI or similar data visualization tool

High proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel

Strong verbal and written communication and data storytelling skills, with ability to present complex information to different audiences including non-technical constituents

Active listening, critical thinking, and good interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Ability to work well both on a team and independently
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience within higher education including knowledge of academic departments and structures

Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Workday

Willingness to complete Bradley funded courses, certifications, or workshops to strengthen expertise
