Full Job Description

Accounts Receivable Clerk (RentalMan Software Experience Preferred)

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk with hands-on experience using RentalMan to support billing, collections, cash application, and customer account reconciliation functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in equipment rental or construction-related industries, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer invoices, credits, adjustments, and account statements using RentalMan
Post daily cash receipts, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card transactions
Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate customer records and supporting documentation
Coordinate with management personnel, sales team, and customers regarding invoice questions and payment status
Prepare collection notes and document account activity
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
Generate AR reports for management review
Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls

Qualifications

2+ years of accounts receivable or accounting support experience
Direct experience using RentalMan software preferred
Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial, or heavy equipment industries preferred
Strong understanding of invoicing, 3+ years’ experience in collections (required), and account reconciliation
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of lien waivers, rental contracts, or job billing
Experience handling high-volume customer accounts
Familiarity with ERP/accounting integrations
Customer service and dispute resolution experience

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred but not required

Work Environment

Full-time position
Standard business hours with occasional overtime during month-end close
