Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure high-quality dishes are served efficiently and safely
Support menu planning efforts by providing input on recipes and ingredient selection based on dietary needs and preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food service areas in compliance with food safety standards
Serve meals to guests or residents with professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail
Handle food with care, using proper knife skills and culinary techniques to prepare ingredients for various dishes
Contribute to catering events by preparing and serving food in a timely manner while maintaining presentation standards
Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, sanitation procedures, and allergen management

Experience

Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued
Background in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry demonstrates strong foundational skills in cooking and food handling
Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering enhances your ability to contribute effectively
Fine dining or upscale restaurant experience is a plus for delivering refined presentation and service standards
Knowledge of kitchen operations, including knife skills, food safety practices, and food industry regulations is essential
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
