Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to excellence in food preparation. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly, preparing ingredients and assisting in the creation of delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in food presentation.
Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure the proper preparation of meals.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools.
Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with meal preparation and serving.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the restaurant or culinary industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Experience with meal preparation, catering, and serving is a plus.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are essential.
