Position Summary
As the Assistant Vice President of Organizational Development & Learning, you will lead initiatives that enhance employee performance, engagement, and organizational capability while helping build a culture of continuous learning and development. You’ll partner with leaders across the Credit Union to strengthen organizational effectiveness, develop future leaders, and create learning experiences that drive business success.
What You’ll Do
As the Assistant Vice President of Organizational Development & Learning, you will:
- Lead organizational development initiatives that improve team effectiveness, employee performance, and organizational success.
- Develop, deliver, and oversee learning, leadership development, onboarding, and training programs that build employee capability.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and knowledge management system to ensure employees have access to required training and current procedures.
- Support performance management, succession planning, competency development, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, administer engagement surveys, and partner with leaders to strengthen workplace culture.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders on organizational development, leadership effectiveness, change management, and team development.
- Use data and organizational metrics to evaluate development initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to assigned staff.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time exempt position. Leaders are expected to maintain a regular on-site presence during core business hours while exercising the flexibility necessary to meet the responsibilities of their role. Work schedules are determined by business and operational needs and may require occasional early morning, evening, or weekend commitments.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Five to seven years of experience in organizational development, learning and development, talent management, or human resources.
- Experience designing and delivering training and development programs.
- Strong consulting and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and provide practical recommendations to leaders.
- Knowledge of organizational development, change management, adult learning, leadership development, and talent development practices.
- Strong coaching, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, diagnose organizational challenges, and develop effective solutions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and other workplace collaboration tools.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial institution experience preferred.
Other Requirements
Must be willing and able to work at and travel between any of our locations on an as needed basis.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, including a criminal history review and credit check, as permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $100,700 to $151,000, with a midpoint of $125,800. This range reflects current market compensation data and our commitment to competitive, equitable pay. The starting rate is based on the applicant’s relevant experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Most new hires are offered a starting rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range, although placement elsewhere in the range may be appropriate based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
