Full Job Description

Job Title: Customer Service Representative/Warehouse Associate Job Family: Sales

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Date: 07/29/2020

Objective

This position provides effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as team members within the organization. The role of a CSR is based in a distribution branch setting which provided a wide scope of work in the areas of customer service, and administrative support.

This role provides individuals with the opportunity to learn and grow with the organization. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with government contracts, standards and quality control guidelines.

This position is an hourly role, working Monday – Friday with typical hours of 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM / 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment process to include a Federal Background Check.

Essential Job Functions

Customer Service/Inside Sales
Interacts with customers to establish ongoing value-added relationships (over the phone, via email/fax or walk in)
Attention to detail, order management and follow up skills are required
Receives and processes sales calls, quote requests and product orders through delivery
Takes ownership of customer relationships and upsells products
Quote follow-up and track lost sales reports as well as expediting all customer inquiries and orders
Administrative Support
Coordinate with outside sales, purchasing, billing, management, and warehouse customer issues and orders
Assist with pulling orders and delivery schedules

Requirements

Some College – Associates Degree preferred
1-2 years sales experience
Good math skills to include units of measure conversions
Highly motivated and results oriented
Strong communication, organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
Solid problem solving and consultative skills required
Ability to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimal supervision.
Experience with MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word
Government Contract experience preferred, usage of: WAWF Payment, Exostar, SPARS
Dependability and ability to learn quickly.

Physical Requirements

General office environment and occasional exposure to non-climate controlled warehouse. Requires standing, sitting, driving, use hands, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, read, talk and hear; the employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
