Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County (HFHSC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating affordable homeownership opportunities for families in Sonoma County. Through the generosity of volunteers, donors, community partners, and the dedication of our staff, we bring people together to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County brings people together to build homes, community, and hope.

Position Summary: Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and people-focused Volunteer Coordinator to lead and grow our ReStore Volunteer Program. This position recruits, orients, schedules, trains, supports, and recognizes volunteers while creating an exceptional volunteer experience that advances Habitat's mission of building homes, community, and hope.

This position requires a proactive, highly organized individual who takes ownership of program administration, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and contributes to the continued growth and success of Habitat's ReStore Volunteer program.

Essential Functions

· Recruit, schedule, orient, and support individual and group volunteers.

· Coordinate volunteer applications, registration, waivers, scheduling, and onboarding.

· Deliver engaging volunteer orientations, safety training, and ReStore tours.

· Maintain volunteer records using Salesforce and Microsoft 365.

· Coordinate volunteer assignments with the ReStore Management Team.

· Partner with the Director of Community Engagement and Fund Development to coordinate corporate volunteer events.

· Maintain volunteer calendars and communicate schedules across departments.

· Work with CVNL to coordinate court-referred volunteers in accordance with program agreements.

· Develop volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition initiatives.

· Maintain volunteer statistics and prepare reports and dashboards.

· Support volunteer appreciation events and outreach activities.

· Ensure volunteers comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Volunteer management, customer service, nonprofit, or event coordination experience strongly preferred.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills.

· Ability to speak comfortably to groups and represent Habitat professionally.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365; Salesforce experience a plus.

· Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable.

· Must successfully pass required background checks.

Physical Requirements:

Office Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use a computer both in the office and off-site. Use of the computer will require repetitive motion of arms, hands and fingers. It is also required to sit in meetings, requiring concentration. The employee may also be required to stand while executing activities on behalf of the organization, talk and hear extensively, both in person and using the telephone. Occasionally lift and move items up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities are required for this job including both distance and close vision.

ReStore Environment: Physical requirements may be those that are present in an indoor and outdoor warehouse environment, including exposure to heat and cold. The ability to walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. Sufficient visual acuity and ability to hear is necessary to assure safe operations and activities on work sites. May be exposed to high decibel noise, such as power tools.

Time Requirements:

This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week. It may be necessary to occasionally work extra hours with some weekends and evenings to be expected. Pay is dependent upon experience.
