SRB Signature Kitchen & Bath is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. We are a design-build company specializing in high-end kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and we are looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of a project from start to finish while working closely with our in-house design team, subcontractors, and clients.
This is an ideal position for a skilled carpenter who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable independently managing the day-to-day needs of a remodeling project, including client communication and coordination with the project team.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage the day-to-day carpentry and construction needs of high-end kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects
- Read and interpret architectural plans, construction drawings, and design specifications
- Work closely with our in-house designers to bring detailed designs and selections to life in the field
- Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors and other trades to keep projects moving efficiently
- Maintain project schedules and communicate upcoming needs, delays, or concerns with the appropriate team members
- Perform high-quality finish carpentry, cabinetry installation, trim work, framing, drywall, and other general remodeling tasks
- Ensure installations are completed accurately and to the standards expected of a high-end remodeling company
- Identify potential issues in the field and communicate them proactively before they become problems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and represent the company positively while working in their homes
- Coordinate with project managers and designers regarding project details, changes, and client expectations
- Take ownership of the overall quality, organization, and progress of your projects
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of remodeling or residential construction experience, with strong carpentry skills
- Proven experience independently leading kitchen, bathroom, or high-end residential remodeling projects
- Strong understanding of residential construction and the sequencing of multiple trades
- Ability to read plans and follow detailed design specifications
- Excellent finish carpentry skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions in the field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working directly with homeowners in an occupied home
- Reliable, professional, and capable of working independently
- Pride in craftsmanship and a commitment to doing things correctly—not just quickly
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, project managers, subcontractors, and other team members
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Monday through Friday availability with the occasional flexible Saturday during busy seasons
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who can walk onto a project and take ownership. You should be comfortable looking at a set of plans, understanding what needs to happen next, coordinating with the appropriate trades, and communicating with the office when something needs attention.
The right candidate will be resourceful, proactive, and confident in problem-solving. You should be able to recognize potential issues before they become problems, make thoughtful decisions in the field, and know when to communicate with the project manager or design team.
Because we work closely with our in-house design team, attention to the details of the finished product is extremely important. Our projects are highly customized, and we are looking for a Lead Carpenter who appreciates quality craftsmanship and understands that the small details matter.
