Project Manager
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing residential new construction and remodeling projects from pre-construction through project closeout. This role ensures each project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Tarvudd Construction's exceptional standards of craftsmanship, while maintaining outstanding client communication throughout the construction process.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage residential construction projects from pre-construction through final completion.
- Review project scope, contracts, architectural drawings, engineering plans, and specifications.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and deliveries.
- Supervise daily jobsite operations to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to schedules.
- Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building codes.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and proactively identify quality or safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
- Coordinate permits, inspections, utility scheduling, and manufacturer warranty requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, architects, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Manage project budgets by tracking labor, materials, subcontractor costs, production rates, and scope adjustments.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, meeting notes, RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence.
- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Conduct punch list inspections and oversee project closeout to ensure complete client satisfaction.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites that reflect the Tarvudd Construction brand.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of project management or construction supervision experience.
- Experience managing high-end residential construction projects preferred.
- Thorough understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
- Knowledge of Michigan residential building codes and OSHA safety standards.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate active construction sites.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
- No felony convictions.
- Must maintain a professional reputation consistent with representing Tarvudd Construction and working in clients' homes.
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check. Candidates with felony convictions will not be considered for employment.

Compensation & Benefits
Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
