Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will lead the development and optimization of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining programs for complex metal components, ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support manufacturing operations, and contribute to the successful production of high-precision parts using advanced CNC machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in machining and engineering.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machines such as 5-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using Master CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Interpret mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical specifications to ensure accurate machining processes.
Set up CNC tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters on CNC machines, including Fanuc controls, to produce precision parts aligned with design intent.
Conduct tooling selection, measurement with precision instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Troubleshoot machining issues related to geometry, tooling wear, or machine performance; implement corrective actions promptly.
Collaborate with engineering teams on CAD software like CATIA or SolidWorks for design modifications and process improvements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize machining workflows.
Provide mentorship and training to junior programmers and machinists on CNC programming best practices and safety protocols.
Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling specifications, and measurement data for quality control audits.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Programmer with expertise in programming 5-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.
Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, and CAM programming tools tailored for metal machining applications.
Deep understanding of mechanical blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and geometric analysis necessary for precise manufacturing.
Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus for complex part fabrication.
Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in CNC tooling setup, measurement techniques, and precision measurement instruments like bore gauges and micrometers.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and improve efficiency across machining processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues related to geometry or tooling wear effectively.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineering teams on design interpretation and process improvements.
Ability to interpret complex technical drawings accurately while maintaining high standards of quality control.
