Solar One Construction is a national commercial and industrial solar installation company. We are seeking highly skilled and experienced leaders to join our team as a Commercial Solar Project Manager/Foreman.
Job Summary: Solar One Construction is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Solar Project Manager / Foreman to oversee solar installation projects for large-scale commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy installations, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate and manage crews to complete projects efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. The Foreman will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising a team of installers and electricians, and ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and project specifications.
Job Duties:
● Crew Supervision and Management: Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of solar installation installers and laborers on commercial solar projects. Ensure the team follows safety protocols, project timelines, and quality standards.
● Installation Oversight: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar panel systems on commercial buildings, ensuring all work meets local codes and regulations.
● Site Safety Compliance: Enforce site-specific safety protocols and OSHA regulations, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure the crew always adheres to proper safety procedures.
● Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Monitor daily progress and communicate any delays or issues.
● Quality Control: Perform quality checks to ensure that installations meet company standards and local electrical codes. Address any deficiencies or issues immediately to maintain project flow.
● Equipment and Material Management: Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained, and ensure that the crew has everything needed to complete the project. Report inventory needs or equipment malfunctions to the project manager.
● Training and Development: Provide mentorship and training to crew members on best practices for solar panel installation, troubleshooting, and safety.
● Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, work completed, time logs, and material usage. Submit regular progress reports to the project manager.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
● Minimum 3-5 years of experience in solar installation or construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (such as crew lead, foreman, or supervisor).
● Strong knowledge of solar installation systems, electrical systems, and commercial construction practices. Understanding of industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements for solar installations.
● Proven experience in managing, training, and motivating teams in a construction or technical environment.
● OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification or equivalent is required.
● NABCEP certification (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) is a plus.
● Journeyman license is a plus
● Ability to lift heavy materials, work in varying weather conditions, and spend long hours on your feet.
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with the crew, project managers, and clients.
● Willingness to travel 90+% of the time.
● Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
● Uphold a professional demeanor around customers, employees, and vendors.
● Display a high level of organization and process orientation.
● Adaptability to the evolving requirements of a dynamic and expanding company.
● Developing critical analysis skills to measure, assess, and enhance processes within the solar installation.
● Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and execution capabilities, coupled with an adept understanding of project and program management.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
