Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a Bookkeeper/Office Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and be proficient in various accounting tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic office environment and contribute to the financial operations of the company.

Duties

-Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information

-Reconcile company's financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements

-Prepare tax returns for businesses and individuals

-Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements

-Study financial trends to determine future business needs

-Assist with budgeting and financial reporting

-Handle payroll processing

-Utilize accounting software to maintain financial records

-Conduct account reconciliation, including balance sheet reconciliation

-Process accounts payable transactions

-Other office duties as assigned

Skills

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field

-Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems

-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills

-Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software

-Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

-Detail-oriented and able to prioritize

-Able to work independently and as part of a team

-Self-starter

Education

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

-Previous bookkeeping experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
