Property Preservation / Construction Crew Member
Responsibilities
- Secure vacant or damaged residential and commercial properties, including lock changes, boarding, and temporary repairs.
- Perform general construction and maintenance, including:
- Drywall
- Painting
- Flooring
- Carpentry
- Roofing
- Basic plumbing
- Minor electrical repairs
- Complete property cleanouts and debris removal.
- Perform lawn care, seasonal maintenance, and other exterior property services.
- Identify property damage, safety hazards, and potential code compliance concerns.
- Take clear before, during, and after photos and submit accurate job documentation.
- Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and a clean worksite.
- Follow company procedures, client specifications, and workplace safety requirements.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, clients, vendors, inspectors, and occupants.
- Travel to multiple job sites within the assigned service area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, property preservation, maintenance, remodeling, or a related trade preferred.
- Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete tasks with limited supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable using a smartphone to receive assignments, take photos, and submit reports.
- Strong attention to detail, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if required.
Construction Worker / Equipment Operator
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Worker & Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will assist with site preparation, operate light and heavy machinery, perform physical labor, and support daily construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
- Safely operate equipment such as skid steers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, and other machinery as assigned.
Site Preparation
- Perform grading, trenching, excavation, land clearing, and other preparation work for upcoming projects.
General Labor
- Load and unload materials.
- Set up safety barriers and work areas.
- Mix and prepare concrete.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Assist with construction and property improvement projects.
Site Maintenance
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Inspect and maintain equipment and report mechanical or safety concerns.
Team Collaboration
- Assist specialized trades, including framers, masons, concrete crews, and other construction professionals.
- Follow directions from supervisors and project managers while working efficiently as part of a team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of general construction experience preferred.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a strong plus.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds, stand, kneel, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of job-site safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work well with others.
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
