Our Product - Automated Physical Robotics Operations (Security & Inspection)

Our full-stack solution enables autonomous aerial and ground robots to operate persistently alongside human security and maintenance teams providing continuous situational awareness, rapid response capabilities, actionable intelligence, and detailed imagery at scale. We believe the future of security and inspections is not humans or machines. It is humans + machines + AI working together amplifying coverage, improving decision-making, and reducing risk.

Our platform transforms robots from experimental tools into dependable security and inspection assets. Deployed at customer sites today, Asylon systems conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, integrate directly into security operations, inspect aircraft as they go through depot level maintenance—extending the reach of teams and fundamentally changing how physical security and inspections are delivered.

We are building the software infrastructure layer for the automated security and inspection economy. The work is exciting, and the mission is real.

Position

Asylon is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Director of Navy Programs. This critical leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing the company's strategy to effectively introduce, integrate, and scale our innovative technologies within the Department of War (DoW), with a concentration within the Department of the Navy (DoN), both Navy and Marine Corps (USMC), ecosystem. The Director will lead efforts to understand DoN capability needs, identify transition pathways, build strategic partnerships, identify funding opportunities, and ultimately drive the adoption of Asylon's solutions across relevant DoN programs. This individual will possess a deep understanding of DoN technology landscape, acquisition processes, key stakeholders, and the critical factors for successful technology transition from concept to operational deployment. 

Primary duties include:

Navy and USMC Program Management 

Manage and maintain existing programs and initiatives with the DoN through ensuring all stakeholders internally and externally remain on track with contract timelines and navigate any issues, government or Asylon, to ensure that contract deliverables meet requirements and are delivered on-time to the customer. 

Program Transition 

Responsible for the transition of Service programs into Program of Record (PoR) awards. This includes developing and submitting the requisite budgets, approvals, and other information to the relevant stakeholders at the respective program offices. Endeavor to maximize contract awards, working to gain stakeholder approval and support at the base and Major Command/DoN levels. 

Expansion into Adjacent Customers 

Develop and implement a strategy for transitioning Asylon capabilities to other Navy and USMC missions through various contracting/funding vehicles by identifying missions Asylon capabilities can support and their respective stakeholders.   

Capability Shaping 

Shape Asylon’s DoN technology roadmap based upon field experience and end-user feedback. 

Internal Navy and USMC Champion 

Act as the internal Asylon champion and liaison between the DoN, Engineering, Operations, and Finance departments to ensure successful execution of existing DoN program deliverables and goals.  

Team Leadership & Development 

Foster a collaborative and technically proficient team environment. Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members. 

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or scientific field  
Established network of key technical contacts and relationships within various branches and agencies of the DoW, concentrating on the Navy and USMC. 
Strong understanding of Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and the technology maturation process within the DoW. 
Proven program/project management skills.
Excellent technical communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical experts and senior leaders. 
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic technology transition plans. 
Strong leadership and team management skills. 
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team. 
Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a security clearance (Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred). 
Willingness to travel as required.

Highly Desired: 

Familiarity with specific DoW and DoN technology priorities and modernization initiatives relevant to Asylon's offerings. 
Understanding of DoW and DoN cybersecurity requirements and compliance frameworks.
Leadership background, including Command tour(s)
Prior experience at the DoN and/or Joint Staff levels.
History of deployment in relevant operational environments.
