Full Job Description

SAS Grid Administrator

King of Prussia/ North East Philadelphia area

(Contract – Hybrid)

Our client is a regional transmission organization (RTO) that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in all or parts of Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Acting as a neutral, independent party, our client operates a competitive wholesale electricity market and manages the high-voltage electricity grid to ensure reliability for more than 65 million people.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Our client will require proof of status prior to employment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The candidate is primarily responsible for supporting our highly available (HA) dual site SAS 9.4 GRID environment (jobs, scripts, users, servers, etc.).

This position requires strong customer focus and prompt handling of various issues as they arise (job failures, connectivity, permissions, and special projects).

This is a senior role with high visibility requiring very strong knowledge of our overall batch and ad hoc SAS environments, as well as a strong database background.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· This position is within the Data Solutions department.

· Daily support of SAS/Oracle Batch jobs and Ad hoc customers

· SAS/Oracle/SQLServer development efforts for the business team

· SAS GRID Administration, maintenance and support

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong SAS GRID management experience

· SAS Management Console

· SAS Metadata Server and Repository

· Job Scheduling and Load Balancing

· Strong SAS base, macros and Access to Oracle experience

· Strong understanding of the Oracle database and SQL programming language

· Strong Linux scripting and Crontab job scheduling experience

· Experience adhering to formal SDLC and change management process

PREFERRED:

· At least 3 years of experience

· Developing/debugging complex SAS ETL against the Oracle database

· Automating complex processes into streamlined applications

· Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects concurrently

· Experience working with team members to define, document, and develop software

· Understanding of SAS/Oracle performance tuning techniques

· Strong customer and business focus

· Strong documentation and communications skills

· Demonstrated ability to produce high quality work products with attention to detail

· SAS ADMIN with experience installing/administrating SAS servers

· B.S. degree in computer science or similar degree

· Experience with Altair SLC Hub
