About the Role
Play Hockey is seeking an experienced and well-connected Regional Manager, East Coast to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and lead the continued expansion of one of our most important markets.
This role is ideal for an accomplished sales and business development leader who has built strong relationships within the youth hockey community and has a proven history of growing participation, increasing revenue, and leading successful teams.
You will own regional revenue performance while serving as the face of Play Hockey throughout the East Coast, building lasting partnerships with associations, clubs, teams and key decision-makers.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth & Business Development
- Own and achieve regional revenue targets across tournaments, showcases, camps, teams and event experiences.
- Recruit new organizations, clubs and teams into Play Hockey events.
- Build, manage and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective and returning customers.
- Identify new market opportunities and execute strategic business development initiatives.
- Develop long-term customer relationships that drive retention and repeat participation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to maximize event participation and profitability.
Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach and support regional employees.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
- Assist with hiring, training and ongoing employee development.
- Ensure operational excellence across the region.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for hockey associations, clubs, teams and key stakeholders.
- Build trust-based partnerships throughout the East Coast hockey community.
- Deliver exceptional customer service before, during and after events.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining strong long-term relationships.
Event Operations
- Attend and support tournaments and events throughout the East Coast.
- Serve as a visible leader during event operations.
- Partner with event staff to deliver outstanding experiences for participants and families.
- Assist with event execution, logistics and operational problem solving.
Market Development
- Identify opportunities to expand Play Hockey's presence across the East Coast.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and customer feedback.
- Provide strategic recommendations to support long-term regional growth.

- Consistently meets or exceeds regional revenue goals.
- Grows participation from new and returning teams.
- Expands Play Hockey's network throughout the East Coast.
- Builds lasting partnerships with key hockey organizations.
- Successfully leads regional employees and supports high-quality event execution.
- Contributes to the long-term growth of Play Hockey's East Coast business.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of sales and business development experience with a demonstrated record of driving revenue growth.
- 7–10 years of leadership experience managing and developing employees.
- 7–10 years of youth sports event or tournament management experience.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue and sales targets.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the East Coast, including weekends during tournament season.
- Must reside in the Mid-Atlantic or New England region of the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience will be highly preferred:
- Extensive experience within the youth hockey industry.
- Existing relationships with youth hockey associations, clubs, organizations and decision-makers throughout the East Coast.
- Experience growing participation and revenue for hockey tournaments, showcases or similar events.
- Established reputation within the youth hockey community.
- Strong understanding of tournament operations and event management.
