Full Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well-established organization in the Philadelphia area to identify a Demand Planner for a 6-9 month contract assignment. This position is covering a medical leave and offers the opportunity to step into a high-impact role supporting forecasting and supply chain operations.

The Demand Planner will play a key role in aligning demand forecasts with business needs, supporting inventory optimization, and partnering cross-functionally to drive data-driven decision-making.

Demand Planner Location: Philadelphia, PA (19112) Job Type: Contract (6-9 months) Compensation: $46-$55/hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, trends, and business inputs
Analyze forecast accuracy and identify risks and opportunities impacting demand
Partner with supply chain, operations, procurement, and sales teams to align planning strategies
Monitor inventory levels and demand trends to reduce stockouts and excess inventory
Evaluate sales performance, seasonality, and customer behavior to inform planning decisions
Generate reporting and dashboards related to forecast performance and inventory metrics
Participate in weekly/monthly planning cycles and forecast review meetings
Identify process improvements within demand planning and forecasting workflows
Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
Strong understanding of forecasting methods and inventory management
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Experience with ERP or demand planning systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate insights clearly

Preferred Experience

Experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer goods, or healthcare environments
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems
Experience supporting S&OP or integrated planning processes

Assignment Details

Contract Length: 6-9 months

Location: Philadelphia, PA (19112)
Compensation: $46-$55/hour, depending on experience
