JOB TITLE: Structural Drafter
JOB TYPE: Contract
LOCATION: Ambler, PA – Hybrid, minimum 3 days onsite per week
START DATE: September/October 2026
SHIFT: Monday–Friday, First Shift
We are seeking an experienced Structural Drafter to create precise 2D drawings and supporting construction documentation in AutoCAD. This position is well suited for someone who can interpret technical design information, translate markups into accurate drawings, and work effectively with engineering and design professionals while managing assignments with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D structural drawings and construction documentation using AutoCAD.
- Convert engineering and architectural plans, sketches, and markups into accurate drawing packages.
- Prepare and update foundation, framing, bracing, and related structural details.
- Revise drawings based on technical feedback and project changes.
- Coordinate with engineering and design team members to resolve drawing questions and maintain document accuracy.
- Follow established drafting standards, procedures, and project requirements.
- Organize and maintain drawing files, revisions, markups, and supporting documentation.
- Complete assigned drafting work accurately and within established project timelines.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of structural or architectural drafting experience involving building projects and AutoCAD.
- Strong AutoCAD skills with demonstrated experience producing and revising detailed 2D construction drawings.
- Proven ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, plans, and technical markups.
- Practical understanding of building construction and structural elements, including foundations, framing, bracing, and related details.
- Ability to work independently with limited direction while producing accurate work and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering and design professionals.
- Valid driver's license.
