Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install acoustical ceiling tiles and panels according to project specifications and schematics
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete installations
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate placement and alignment of ceiling systems
- Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Conduct inspections during installation to verify proper fit, finish, and adherence to safety protocols
- Assist with demolition, restoration, or modifications of existing ceiling structures as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and debris regularly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on ceiling installation or related trades such as carpentry or drywall finishing
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, lifts, and heavy equipment operation
- Familiarity with acoustical ceiling systems including grid installation, tile placement, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings related to ceiling layouts and other construction elements like plumbing or electrical schematics
- Experience with related trades such as plastering, framing carpentry, roofing, or masonry is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring safety compliance
