Job Description

Job Title: Accountant – Full Time

Reports To: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Prepared Date: 07/2026

SUMMARY

To provide full-time, accounting and financial bookkeeping of the organization and provide management with accurate reports. The accountant will work closely with the operations department to accurately record accounts payable, accounts receivable, and generate standard financial statements.

In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this role will also process payroll and work alongside HR as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Ensuring timely processing and accuracy. Including year-end 1099 fillings.

· Generate weekly vendor payments via ACH Batch, Credit Card or check

· Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes

· Maintain internal accounting controls by recommending policies and procedures

· File monthly and quarterly Sale Tax Reports for multiple states

· Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

· Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements

· Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Payroll

· Process payroll accurately and on time each pay period

· Verify all deductions have been accurately set-up - Garnishments, Loans and 401(k) employer and employee contributions.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
· Knowledge and proficiency in Quickbooks Online
· Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
· Must be detail oriented
· Accurate data entry
· Effective time management skills
· Good communication skills
· Ability to work well with others
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to multi-task

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Reports to the Operations Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in accounting or finance; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

None required.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

BODY POSITIONS: Includes sitting, standing, walking, finger dexterity, use of hands and arms, and lift of force exerted up to 10 pounds to move office paperwork.

BODY SENSES: Must have command of the senses of sight, speech, hearing and touch. Must be able to see (20/20 vision with glasses) and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one conversations. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. These vision requirements in each area must be sufficient to shift in focus from computer screens to close forms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will be working primarily indoors in a climate-controlled office environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
