Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Cycle Counter to join our dynamic supply chain team. The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for performing cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, compiling and maintaining records of quantity and SKU’s on a daily basis. Additionally, the Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring the Plant’s inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory. The Inventory Cycle Counter will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports, and transfers. The Inventory Cycle Counter will also assist the Plant, Operations, Engineering, and Field Service Technicians in locating materials.
This position reports directly to the Inventory Manager. This position is classified as a non-exempt position (entitled to overtime pay under Fair Labor Standards Act).
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform cycle counts in the Plant.
- Ensure materials are in the proper location.
- Report any discrepancies of over/under quantities and any damaged products to the Inventory Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, and/or Plant Manager.
- Maintains database, updating records to record supplies and materials received and dispensed.
- Conducts physical inventories on a routine daily basis.
- Verifies inventory records and corrects discrepancies.
- Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
- Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective action to eliminate repetitive errors.
- Distributes storeroom materials in accordance with requisition forms.
- Recount of items, if needed.
- Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand.
- Responsible for working according to company’s safety and quality standards and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area.
- Perform other related duties as required and/or as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work environment full-time, often in a manufacturing plant setting with direct exposure to machinery and production lines.
- May require shift work depending on production schedules.
- Work environment is normal temperature (Plant is temperature controlled), noisy environment, hazardous conditions (working around machinery), and working in small and/or enclosed spaces.
- Must be able to balance on different platforms (e.g., solid floor, ladders, scaffolding, etc.)
- Must be able to work in, on, around, over, and under fixed equipment and machinery; to work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding; to manipulate heavy and light equipment, tools and supplies and/or exert 50 lbs.; to concurrently manipulate multiple controls and machinery; to work in hazardous or irritating environments; confined spaces, and to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, lifting and carrying heavy weighted materials (up to 50 lbs.), and lifting and transporting by hand, machine parts and equipment.
- Must be able to perform extensive standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, sitting, hearing, handling and/or feeling objects, reach and grasping with hands and arms, pushing, pulling, and climbing, able to manipulate up to 100 lbs. of metal, equipment and parts with assistance, transport and stock assigned supplies and materials. Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl to reach materials (must be able to ascend and descend ladder(s) at various heights and work from a lift, ladders, and/or scaffolding up to twenty feet in height.

Education
- Minimum 2 years of experience (preferably 3 years or more of experience).
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
- Preferably two years of experience with Netsuite or similar Oracle systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with MS Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) experience.
