Full Job Description

Job Title: Construction Cost Analyst

ASAP is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Construction Cost Analyst to support large-scale capital construction projects in Chandler, AZ. This is a contract-to-hire, hybrid opportunity for local candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with project financials, budgeting, forecasting, and construction cost management.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts for capital construction projects.
Prepare project funding, commitment, and budget forecasts.
Manage and monitor project budgets and expenditures at the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) level.
Create and maintain WBS codes while ensuring proper scope alignment.
Review and approve purchase requisitions and change orders.
Review project invoices, validate coding, and coordinate invoice processing.
Lead regular cost review meetings with project managers, contractors, and engineering teams.
Track, validate, and manage project change orders.
Perform budget-to-forecast and spend variance analysis.
Identify project risks and opportunities through financial analysis.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and project cost analyses.
Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies and reporting standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Analytics, or a related field.
7–10 years of experience in construction cost analysis, construction finance, project controls, or a related discipline.
Experience supporting large capital construction projects.
Strong experience developing project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with data collection, validation, and financial reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
SAP experience preferred.
Power BI experience is a plus.
Experience using cost management software and Microsoft Project.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Experience supporting semiconductor, industrial, commercial, or refinery construction projects is highly desirable.

Schedule & Location:

Hybrid work schedule.
Local candidates residing near Chandler, AZ are required.
Contract-to-hire opportunity.

Pay: $43.00 - $60.00 per hour
