Help Build the Next Generation of First Responders

We’re looking for experienced EMTs, firefighters, paramedics, or other public safety professionals who want to make a lasting impact by preparing high school students for careers in emergency services.

Whether you’ve taught before or not—we’ll teach you how to teach.

Position Summary

As an EMT/Fire Science Instructor, you will lead high school students through an engaging EMT and Fire Science curriculum that prepares them for college, certification programs, and careers in public safety.

We’ve already built the curriculum, PowerPoint presentations, lesson plans, and instructional resources, allowing you to focus on what matters most—connecting with students and bringing emergency medicine to life. You’ll also have the freedom to personalize your instruction, create engaging activities, and incorporate your own experience into the classroom. If you’d rather use our ready-made resources, they’re available every step of the way.

This is an opportunity to inspire future first responders while being supported by an organization committed to your success.

What You’ll Do

Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on EMT and Fire Science instruction.
Utilize Rescue Ready Education’s curriculum, presentations, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
Customize lessons and create activities that fit your teaching style and real-world experience.
Facilitate practical skills labs, simulations, and scenario-based learning.
Foster professionalism, teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking in students.
Evaluate student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
Maintain a positive, safe, and professional learning environment.
Collaborate with Rescue Ready Education leadership to continually improve the student experience.

Experience as an EMT, firefighter, paramedic, nurse, or other emergency services professional.

Teaching experience is welcome but not required. If you have the field experience and the passion to invest in students, we’ll help you become an exceptional instructor.
