Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Fundraising Coordinator to grow the revenue of a Christian ministry based in the Phoenix area. This role requires a confident, self-directed individual capable of securing corporate sponsorships, cultivating major donors, coordinating fundraising events, and managing a consistent development pipeline. The primary focus is corporate sponsorship, and success in this position is measured directly in dollars raised and relationships built and retained.

This is a mission-driven organization and the work is rooted in our faith. The ideal candidate is comfortable making the direct ask, disciplined about follow-up, organized in tracking a pipeline, and personally aligned with the mission and values of the ministry. Experience within the Christian nonprofit and ministry sector is a meaningful advantage, as is familiarity with the Christian music industry — including the Christian hip-hop and rap community, its artists, labels, tours, festivals, and the sponsors and partners active in that market. Existing relationships in those circles will accelerate results, though they are a plus rather than a hard requirement.

Responsibilities

Identify, research, and build a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and business partners across the Phoenix market
Develop and present sponsorship packages, proposals, and tiered giving opportunities tailored to each prospect
Conduct outreach, meetings, and presentations to secure new sponsorship commitments and in-kind donations
Manage sponsor fulfillment, ensuring every promised benefit (logo placement, recognition, reporting) is delivered on time
Renew and grow existing sponsor relationships year over year through consistent stewardship and impact reporting
Build and manage a portfolio of individual major donors and prospects
Move donors through the full cultivation cycle: identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Conduct personal solicitations and make direct asks for major gifts
Maintain accurate donor records, contact history, and pipeline status.
Ensure timely acknowledgment, tax receipting, and thank-you communication for every gift
Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, benefit concerts, banquets, and donor appreciation gatherings from concept through follow-up
Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, venues, and timelines
Secure event sponsorships, ticket and table sales, and in-kind donations
Coordinate volunteers, event staff, and day-of logistics
Maintain a written fundraising plan and calendar aligned to the annual revenue goal
Provide regular pipeline and revenue reporting to leadership on an agreed cadence
Represent the ministry at community events, networking functions, and partner meetings
Support marketing and communications efforts related to fundraising campaigns and appeals
Ensure all fundraising activity complies with applicable federal and Arizona charitable solicitation requirements
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding donor information, giving history, and organizational matters

Schedule & Availability

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Must be flexible and available for evenings and weekends around fundraising events, donor meetings, and campaign deadlines
Local travel within the Phoenix metropolitan area for donor and sponsor meetings is expected
Occasional out-of-area travel may be required

Compensation & Benefits

$45,000 – $50,000 base salary, depending on experience, paid bi-weekly
10% commission on qualified funds raised against an annual goal set in writing by leadership
On-Target Earnings of $100,000 annually upon full attainment of the assigned goal
Full-time
Formal performance reviews at ninety (90) days and six (6) months
Paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
Paid sick leave in accordance with Arizona law and organizational policy
Accrued PTO after 90 days of employment
Health insurance and retirement plans are not currently offered with this position

Requirements

Proven experience in fundraising, development, sponsorship sales, business development, or a comparable revenue-generating role
Demonstrated track record of securing sponsorships, closing gifts, or meeting revenue targets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with public speaking and direct solicitation
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a pipeline, calendar, and multiple concurrent campaigns
Proficiency with standard office applications
High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in all donor and community interactions
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record
Must pass a background check, reference verification, drug screening, and financial-integrity screening; signing a confidentiality agreement (NDA) is required

Preferred Qualifications

Existing relationships within the Christian nonprofit, ministry, or faith-based sector
Working knowledge of the Christian music industry, including the Christian hip-hop/rap space
Familiarity with the Phoenix-area business and philanthropic community

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
