Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a safety-focused and detail-oriented Chemical Technician to support the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of chemical distribution and process systems within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for supporting chemical delivery equipment, bulk chemical systems, process piping, pumps, valves, filtration equipment, flow controls, instrumentation, and related semiconductor facility infrastructure. The Chemical Technician will work closely with engineers, operations teams, contractors, vendors, and customer representatives to help maintain safe, reliable, and efficient system performance.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and the ability to follow technical procedures in a safety-sensitive environment. The specific technician level will be determined based on the candidate's experience, technical knowledge, certifications, and interview assessment. Experience supporting semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, chemical systems, industrial manufacturing, water treatment, pharmaceutical, or process facilities is highly preferred.
- Support the operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of semiconductor chemical distribution systems and related process support equipment.
- Monitor chemical delivery equipment, pumps, valves, filtration systems, piping networks, flow controls, instrumentation, and associated system components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with approved procedures, schedules, and safety requirements.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, leak checks, operational verifications, system walkdowns, and condition assessments.
- Support chemical transfers, chemical changeovers, material handling activities, and system replenishment while maintaining strict safety standards.
- Identify equipment degradation, abnormal operating conditions, leaks, alarms, and other potential reliability concerns.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas in alignment with cleanroom requirements and 5S practices.
- Assist with equipment installation, startup, commissioning, testing, qualification, and turnover activities for chemical systems and process equipment.
- Support installation verification for piping, pumps, valves, tubing, fittings, sensors, filtration equipment, and related system components.
- Participate in system testing, functional checks, pressure testing, flushing, operational verification, and readiness reviews as assigned.
- Assist engineers and project teams with field troubleshooting, corrective actions, startup support, and resolution of installation-related issues.
- Review work instructions, equipment documentation, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and technical drawings to support accurate field execution.
- Support project teams during construction, tool-install, facility expansion, maintenance shutdown, and commissioning activities.
- Follow all chemical-handling procedures, standard operating procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE requirements, cleanroom protocols, and site-specific safety rules.
- Maintain compliance with hazardous-material handling requirements, Safety Data Sheet procedures, chemical labeling requirements, and spill-prevention practices.
- Safely use hand tools, testing equipment, meters, diagnostic instruments, and other maintenance tools.
- Document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting findings, system performance data, and operational issues accurately and on time.
- Escalate equipment failures, process abnormalities, safety concerns, chemical-system alarms, and urgent maintenance needs to supervisors and engineering teams.
- Support incident-prevention efforts, safety observations, corrective actions, and continuous-improvement initiatives focused on reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain organized maintenance records, inspection checklists, work orders, and technical documentation throughout the project or operational lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, operations teams, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and customer representatives to support project execution and system reliability.
- Participate in team meetings, daily briefings, safety discussions, and project coordination activities.
- Provide clear updates regarding maintenance status, equipment conditions, troubleshooting progress, and outstanding system needs.
- Support continuous-improvement efforts related to chemical-system safety, equipment uptime, maintenance processes, documentation accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a professional, dependable, and safety-first approach while working in fast-paced semiconductor, industrial, and construction environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow technical procedures, work instructions, safety protocols, maintenance schedules, and operating procedures.
- Comfortable working around industrial chemicals, chemical process systems, piping networks, and semiconductor facility equipment.
- Ability to work safely in cleanroom, manufacturing, industrial, construction, or chemical-processing environments.

- Associate degree or technical certification in Chemical Technology, Process Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working with semiconductor chemical delivery systems, bulk chemical systems, high-purity process systems, or facility utility systems.
- Experience with pumps, valves, piping systems, filtration equipment, flow controls, instrumentation, sensors, and chemical process equipment.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, or qualification activities.
- Previous experience in semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, chemical plants, pharmaceutical facilities, water treatment, industrial manufacturing, or facilities-maintenance environments.
- Familiarity with hazardous-chemical handling, Safety Data Sheet requirements, chemical safety procedures, and spill-response practices.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, instrumentation, sensors, controls, alarms, or automated process systems.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, lockout/tagout, or other industrial safety certifications.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese communication skills are a plus, but not required.
