Evaluations and Reporting
Evaluations
As an AmeriCorps member, you will undergo a formal evaluation process to assess your performance and ensure the success of your term of service. The evaluation includes both a midterm and an end-of-term written assessment for full-time members, and an end-of-term written evaluation for less-than-full-time members. These evaluations are designed to address key factors such as:
- Whether you have completed the required number of service hours.
- Whether you have satisfactorily completed assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Whether you have met other performance criteria that were clearly communicated to you at the beginning of your term.
These performance evaluations are intended to be a mutual exchange of information that not only informs the program's service delivery but also helps you successfully complete your term of service. The evaluations provide an opportunity for feedback and growth, and they are integral to ensuring that both the program and its members are aligned in achieving their goals. The Program Director encourages setting up one-on-one informal meetings to discuss any grievances, celebrate successes, or simply check in.
Weekly Timesheet Submission
Members are required to submit weekly timesheets through OnCorps to document their hours and eligibility for in-service and post-service benefits. This timekeeping record is essential for maintaining compliance with 2 CFR § 200.430. As AmeriCorps members are National Service Participants rather than employees under 45 CFR 2510.20, the timekeeping system is designed to track only service hours and does not extend to tracking beyond your AmeriCorps service hours. Accurate and timely submission of these timesheets ensures that you receive the benefits associated with your service. Failure to complete timesheets by their due date or falsifying timesheets may result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
