Full Job Description

MAINTENANCE & SCHEDULING PLANNER II in ARIZONA | Freeport-McMoRan
Multiple Openings: 4 in Globe-Miami + 3 in Bagdad.

Seeking an experienced PLANNER II to support maintenance planning, scheduling & reliability initiatives. Position plays a critical role in maximizing equipment availability by coordinating maintenance activities, managing SAP work orders, supporting shutdown planning & ensuring maintenance resources are ready for safe, efficient execution.

PERMANENT – FULL TIME – DIRECT HIRE
$73,500–$101,000 Annual base salary
$15K Annual Bonus
Subsidized Company Housing Available
$9-$14K Relocation Support (if eligible)

What You'll Do

Plan, prioritize & schedule maintenance work orders
Develop daily, weekly & long-range maintenance schedules
Manage maintenance planning activities within SAP
Support preventive, predictive & corrective maintenance programs
Coordinate labor, materials, contractors & equipment resources
Forecast maintenance workloads & runtime requirements
Participate in daily, weekly & monthly planning meetings
Prepare job packages, scopes of work & work instructions
Assist with shutdown planning & major maintenance outages
Monitor KPIs & generate reports for site leadership
Support maintenance budgeting & forecasting
Coordinate with Global Supply Chain to ensure parts availability
Maintain maintenance history & equipment records in SAP
Mentor Planner I personnel on Freeport planning standards & best practices
Verify field readiness including labor, materials, tooling & equipment
Collaborate across departments to improve maintenance execution & equipment reliability

Qualified candidates will possess one of the following:

Previous Diagnostic Mechanic, Electrician &/or Welding background
High School diploma or GED plus 6+ years of maintenance experience in mining, manufacturing or industrial operations
High School diploma or GED plus 6+ years of related maintenance experience including 4+ years of maintenance planning
Associate degree in a technical field plus 4+ years of related maintenance experience
Bachelor's degree in a technical field plus 2+ years of related maintenance experience

Candidates should also possess:

Maintenance planning & scheduling workflow knowledge
Mining & industrial processing equipment experience
Maintenance management systems experience (SAP preferred)
Microsoft Office proficiency
Strong communication, organization & problem-solving skills
