Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Location: Tempe, AZ 85282
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 6 Month Contract with possibility for extensions
Pay Rate: $40.00 – $45.00/hour (determined by experience, paid weekly)
Work Model: Fully Onsite

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support sourcing, procurement, and supplier management initiatives for our client in Tempe, AZ. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, supplier performance, quality improvements, and supply continuity across assigned commodities and services.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading supplier negotiations, contract management activities, RFQ events, and cross-functional sourcing initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned categories and commodities.
Lead supplier evaluations, RFQ events, negotiations, and contract management activities.
Analyze supplier proposals, pricing structures, market conditions, and spend data to establish fair and competitive cost positions.
Develop sourcing strategies that align with business objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management teams to support sourcing decisions and business requirements.
Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and supply chain risks to proactively address sourcing challenges.
Support supplier transitions, onboarding activities, and supply continuity planning.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancements.
Maintain supplier relationships and support ongoing supplier performance management activities.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
Prepare sourcing reports, supplier analyses, and procurement documentation for leadership review.
Manage multiple sourcing projects and priorities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications Required

Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Experience with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD) requirements.
4–6 years of experience in:
Strategic Sourcing
Procurement
Supply Chain Management
Purchasing
Contract Management
Experience leading supplier negotiations and sourcing events.
Experience developing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships.
Strong analytical and cost analysis skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement tools.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or industrial sourcing experience.
Experience supporting subcontract management activities.
Knowledge of supplier performance management methodologies.
Experience supporting government contract environments.
