Full Job Description

CANDIDATE MUST PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS' PAID PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN SUPERVISING PARENT-CHILD VISITS FOR THE MARICOPA COUNTY FAMILY AND JUVENILE COURTS - TASKS INCLUDE HANDLING COMPLEX CHILD CUSTODY AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MATTERS ; THE ABILITY TO OBSERVE AND DOCUMENT DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING AS DIRECTED BY THE COURT; AND COMPREHENSIVE WRITING SKILLS TO PRODUCE UNBIASED, DETAILED VISIT REPORTS TO THE COURT.

Candidate must include a 1-2 paragraph mock supervised visit report for content and writing skills assessment. Inquiries and resumes which are sent without required writing sample will automatically be filtered out.

Candidate responsibilities include monitoring parents who are alleged to have a history domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse, parental abduction and mental illness. Individual must monitor each visit and produce a report documenting the parent-child interactions, behaviors, activities, and violations of the visit and complete a visitation report. Candidates must demonstrate experience in addressing hostile situations (i.e., terminating visits if harmful to children). Candidates will complete Incident Reports as required. Candidates are required to report all allegations of abuse / neglect to the Child Abuse Hotline.

Candidates must have the following minimum requirements:

Must have a valid AZDPS LEVEL 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Must have basic knowledge of family and juvenile court procedures and demonstrate familiarity with reading court orders
Use of MSWord is required.
Must be willing to work afternoons and weekends
Must have valid First Aid / CPR certification
Must have a valid Arizona driver's license and proof of insurance with reliable transportation
Must have never been arrested for any misdemeanor, felony or any crime involving domestic violence or crimes against children
Must not have previously been under an order for supervised visitation and may not have any open or closed case with any child protective agency in any jurisdiction.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with HS Diploma.
Must be familiar with Juvenile and Family Court Orders including Orders of Protection

Hourly Wage:

$35/hour based on writing skills and job experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour
