About Touching Hearts at Home

Touching Hearts at Home is a non-medical in-home care provider dedicated to assisting older adults to age in place safely, happily, and with dignity. Our mission is built on a foundation of integrity, empathy, and the belief in the dignity of all people. We provide a range of personalized services including companionship, personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care. We are committed to supporting our dedicated caregivers and providing exceptional, relationship-based care to our clients.

Position Summary

The Executive Director is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of the agency. An entrepreneurial spirit and a take charge approach will be critical in this role. This position ensures the efficient, high-quality, and compliant delivery of all non-medical in-home care services, aligning all activities with the mission, vision, and core values of Touching Hearts at Home. The Executive Director drives operational excellence, manages financial health, fosters business growth, supports staff development, and works to enhance the overall client and caregiver experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management & Efficiency

Daily Operations: Oversee and manage all daily operational functions, including scheduling, client intake, service coordination, and administrative support.
Process Optimization: Develop, implement, and maintain efficient operational processes and procedures to optimize service delivery and business productivity.
Performance Metrics: Monitor performance metrics (e.g., client satisfaction, caregiver retention, scheduling efficiency) and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Technology Management: Manage and utilize home care software systems (e.g., scheduling, time-tracking, client management) to streamline operations.
Resource Management: Ensure adequate space, equipment, and supplies are available to support staff and business needs.

Financial Performance & Business Growth

Budget Ownership: Develop, manage, and adhere to the annual operating budget, ensuring optimal profit margins and cost control.
Financial Oversight: Review profit and loss (P&L) statements, manage accounts receivable/payable, and ensure timely client billing and caregiver payroll.
Business Development: Create and execute growth strategies to increase client census, actively networking and securing referral partnerships with local hospitals, rehab centers, and senior organizations.

HR, Compliance, & Risk Management

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to state licensing requirements, labor laws, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
Risk Mitigation: Oversee worker’s compensation claims, conduct investigations into caregiver misconduct, and professionally resolve client or family grievances.
On-Call Accountability: Participate in or oversee the rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 operational support.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of healthcare leadership experience, specifically within non-medical home care, home health, or senior living.
Background Clearances: Must successfully pass a mandatory criminal background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening.
Credentials: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation with current auto insurance.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, perform repetitive clerical tasks, and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Travel: Regular local travel required for client assessments, quality assurance visits, and community networking events.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
Bonuses: Performance-based incentive programs tied to growth and retention metrics.
