Full Job Description

Job Summary

Scottsdale based Family Office is seeking a Financial Analyst. This individual will play a key role in financial statement preparation, reporting, forecasting, and compliance activities. This position requires strong technical accounting and analytical skills, the ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear written reports, and comfort working across multiple entities and projects. The ideal candidate brings a background in investment analysis, corporate finance, or business consulting, along with a solid foundation in accounting and finance principles.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Statement Preparation & Reporting

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Perform financial reporting analysis, identifying trends, variances, and key drivers of performance
Support management with clear, actionable financial insights

Forecasting & Budgeting

Develop pro forma financial statements and projections for new and existing projects
Prepare and manage project-level and operating budgets
Monitor budget-to-actual performance and provide variance analysis

Report Writing

Draft narrative reports to accompany pro forma models and budget submissions, translating financial data into clear, well-organized written analysis for executive team and Principals.

Project Accounting

Support project accounting functions where implemented, including cost tracking, allocations, and project-level financial reporting

Reconciliations

Assist with complex reconciliations, including capital accounts and inter-entity/intercompany accounts
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in coordination with accounting staff

Tax & Compliance

Assist with and help coordinate income tax return preparation, working closely with external tax preparers/CPAs
Support compliance activities, including business license renewals, annual report filings, and other regulatory or entity-level filings

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required

Experience

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a similar role, such as investment analysis, corporate finance, or business consulting
Demonstrated experience with financial statement preparation, budgeting/forecasting, and reconciliations
Experience with multi-entity or project-based accounting structures preferred
Exposure to income tax coordination and regulatory compliance filings a plus

Skills

Strong technical proficiency in Excel; experience with financial reporting/ERP systems preferred
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional narrative reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
Demonstrated experience calculating ROI and other financial performance metrics
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across various projects and entities
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with accounting, finance, and executive teams

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
