Bi-Lingual Litigation Paralegal - Personal Injury Law Firm, Glendale based position

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bi-Lingual Litigation Paralegal to join our growing personal injury law firm. This position is ideal for a litigation professional who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and has substantial hands-on experience supporting cases through discovery, motion practice, and trial.

The Litigation Paralegal plays a critical role in supporting attorneys at every stage of litigation—from pre-suit investigation and pleadings through trial preparation and post-trial matters. This role requires strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage complex case tasks while anticipating attorney needs.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bi-Lingual Litigation Paralegal to join our personal injury law firm. The Litigation Paralegal provides essential support to attorneys throughout the litigation process, from pre-trial investigation to trial and post-trial activities. This role involves preparing legal documents, conducting thorough research, managing case files, and assisting with trial preparation. The Litigation Paralegal plays a key role in ensuring that all aspects of litigation are organized, compliant with relevant laws and procedures, and conducted efficiently. By handling the logistical and procedural elements of cases, the Litigation Paralegal enables attorneys to focus on case strategy and effective client representation.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage cases from inception through trial and post-trial proceedings.
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
Track and meet deadlines for court dates and legal filings to ensure compliance with court requirements.
Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and witnesses as needed.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, subpoenas, and briefs.
Prepare and file documents with courts, adhering to state, federal, and local rules.
Assist in the preparation of trial documents, such as witness lists, exhibits, and trial binders.
Summarize depositions, trial transcripts, and other case-relevant documents.
Assist attorneys in drafting memos, motions, and briefs based on legal research.
Organize and index trial materials for trials, hearings, and depositions.
Assist in preparing exhibits, evidence, and witnesses for trial.
Attend court proceedings to support attorneys, manage exhibits, and take notes as needed.
Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
Coordinate depositions, including scheduling, preparing exhibits, and summarizing testimony.
Manage discovery tasks, including electronic data gathering, processing, and production.
Serve as a point of contact for clients, updating them on case developments.
Conduct client interviews and collect relevant case information.
Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing case files.
High level of accuracy in drafting documents, filing court papers, and managing case-related information.
Strong understanding of litigation procedures, including case management, discovery, trial preparation, and court filing requirements.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in legal studies, criminal justice, or related field)
Paralegal Certificate (especially important if your degree is not in paralegal studies)
10 years of Litigation experience (REQUIRED)
Experience: Prior experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a law firm (personal injury experience preferred).
Strong understanding of medical billing, legal expenses, and case cost management.
Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex cases in a fast-paced legal environment.
Able to read and review detailed documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens for long periods to ensure accuracy in settlement processing.
Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and other department.
