JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the President & CEO this position will lead and expand MayTec’s global Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements. Collaborating directly with our international teams, this role requires proven ownership of audit programs and successful certification outcomes while driving quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Directly supervises the Quality System personnel, guiding their professional development and ensuring effective team performance.
- Ensures quality management staff are properly trained, equipped, and supported to execute their responsibilities efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Develops, maintains and manages Departmental plans, budgets and schedules to support strategic priorities and annual business objectives.
- Supports and promotes effective utilization and continuous improvement of MayTec’s ERP system.
- Leads the authorship, maintenance, and enforcement of the MayTec Quality Management System to ensure consistent application of quality standards across the organizations global sites.
- Leads the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and process improvements that strengthen quality assurance and control while supporting efficient material flow through MayTec manufacturing operations.
- Works with leadership to implement actions that contribute to the goal of achieving financial targets, such as, productivity, throughput, scrap levels and earnings.
- Provides senior policy and process leadership to ensure Production Readiness is integrated into the Maytec New Product Introduction process, including the early development of quality assurance and control plans as new configurations emerge at both suppliers and Maytec facilities.
- Partners with Supply Chain Management and Engineering to develop strategies and policies that promote excellence in supplier quality and strengthen upstream process capability.
- Serves as the main authority for MayTec’s Quality Management System, maintaining requirements awareness, refining processes, and overseeing ISO 9001 certification program management.
- Directs the development and implementation of performance measurement systems, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to evaluate process effectiveness and guide quality improvement initiatives.
- Fosters collaborative relationships across all MayTec functions to ensure quality objectives are aligned with operational and strategic priorities.
- Build and protect a culture grounded in trust, where employees are accountable for producing and passing forward only conforming products.
- Leads by example in demonstrating integrity and ensuring processes are followed so that doing the right thing is always the easiest and expected path.
- Apply proactive systems thinking to anticipate risks and identify operational bottlenecks before they impact performance.
- Champion a continuous improvement mindset by simplifying processes, reducing waste, and strengthening operational efficiency.
- Foster collaborative leadership by partnering with Engineering, Quality Control, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
- Hold teams accountable while maintaining professional respect and trust.
- Drive a sense of operational urgency to accelerate issue resolution and improvement efforts.
- Identifies and manages quality instruments along with the calibration program for these items like gauges and metrology tools.

SPECIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- 7 years (minimum) in manufacturing, engineering, or relevant field operations. Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and application related to extruded aluminum profiles and/or machining.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organized, self-directed and results-oriented.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or industry-specific standards.
- Strong ability to use statistical methods (e.g., SPC) to analyze data and improve processes.
- Experience managing teams, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
- Strong knowledge of quality control methods, data analysis, and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Excel). Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, DFT gauges).
- Available to travel both domestic and internationally.
- Ability to quickly adjust to shifts in priorities.
- BS in Quality Engineering, or related field including Material Science, Mechanical, Industrial, Business or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of ISO 9001 and 14001 system and successful audits.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FAI and supplier qualification processes.
- Strong influence skills to drive change across diverse global teams.
- Strategic thinking with a long-term view of compliance and quality.
- Quality-centric mindset geared towards customer, employee safety and environment.
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Long periods of setting, standing, walking and occasionally lifting (up to 40 lbs. unassisted). Ability to perform pushing, pulling, and twisting tasks. Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
