Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced public and private equity/debt analyst to work closely with the principals in managing our onshore and offshore security portfolio.

Unlike most investment managers, we invest primarily our own capital. We believe successful investors should be capable of generating attractive long-term returns in both favorable and challenging markets. Our investment philosophy is highly concentrated, opportunistic, and disciplined. We approach the markets as long-term investors, not short-term traders. Nevertheless, when exceptional opportunities arise, we are prepared to act decisively.

We are looking for a broadly educated generalist rather than a narrow specialist. The successful candidate will possess intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to synthesize information from many disciplines into thoughtful decisions.

Responsibilities

Research and evaluate public and private equity and debt investment opportunities.
Perform rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Develop well-supported investment recommendations.
Monitor existing investments and identify opportunities to increase or reduce positions.
If appropriate, prepare concise written reports and investment memoranda.
Present investment ideas and recommendations to the principals and Board of Advisors.
Assist with portfolio strategy, asset allocation, and risk management.
Contribute to special projects.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in equity and/or debt investing or investment analysis.
Demonstrated success in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring investments.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be viewed favorably:

MBA.
CFA designation.
CPA designation.
Knowledge of international equity and fixed-income markets.
Familiarity with U.S. tax considerations affecting investments.
The financial capacity and desire to invest alongside the principals.

Location of Administrative Office

· Phoenix, Arizona

Candidate’s Office Location

· Preferably Phoenix Metropolitan Area

Compensation/Time Spent/Committment

· This is not a full time position, as such compensation will be commensurate to experience and agreed upon time commitment. We recognize the candidate will have other business interests, we would expect our business needs to come first.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
