Full Job Description

Central Phoenix established immigration / criminal law firm is hiring a BILINGUAL paralegal or legal assistant with 1+ year immediately. You must have full command of English and Spanish and be able to communicate both verbally and in written form in both languages. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, self-motivated, well organized and have solid computer skills. You should be able to work with minimum supervision, have a positive, warm and caring attitude focused on assisting the unification of families.

You should be able to handle the following duties:

· Effectively speak and write Spanish and English at a business level

· Process mail and calendar deadlines

· Interact with other Firm members to identify work that needs to be performed and delegate if necessary

· Efficiently and quickly prepare client applications and supporting documents (42b, I-589, I-765, DACA, U-visas, I-130 and AOS, I-601a, FOIA, PIP, VAWA K-1, K-3, consular process, bond packets, etc. (If your experience is limited in certain areas, we will train).

· Write template motions (motion to continue, motion to terminate proceedings, motion to change venue, motion to withdraw, etc.)

· Ensure that clients’ files are complete, and all information and documents have been obtained in a timely manner
